Loganikos is nestled in the dense vegetation of Taygetos and is well-known for its Byzantine castle, witness to the centuries-old history of the village.
The castle is built on top of a rock and offers a wonderful panoramic view of the area, compensating the adventurous visitor who will be able to climb the uphill.

Stone built houses, wells, watermills and fountains, samples of local architecture complete the image of the village. There are also seven Byzantine churches in Loganikos, of which Ai-Giorgis, dates from 1374 and is considered one of the oldest churches in Taygetos.
