On the way to the archeological site, the square is dominated by the imposing statue of Constantine Paleologos with the castle in the background, while in a short distance from the center of the village is worth visiting the church of Agios Ioannis Vouvalon with the adjacent fountain with a sarcophagus of Roman times.

Paleologia, a cycle of religious and cultural events in honor of the last emperor of Byzantium are organised here at the end of May as well as the famous trade fair at the end of August, which is an important commercial, social and cultural event for the whole region and attracts thousands of visitors. Beautiful hiking trails such as the one that starts on the left side of the road to the castle just after the exit of the village are also worth visiting. You can leave your car at the start of the trail and enjoy the beautiful waterfall and the traditional wooden bridge over the river. The signposted hiking trail that reaches the settlement of Taygetos is parallel to the river and quite easy. Hiking lasts about an hour and along your way apart from the amazing nature you will meet beautiful chapels and stone fountains with running water. If you are in the mood, the trail continues up to the Monastery of Faneromeni after two hours of hiking.
